"This came from a visit to Wallington Hall in Northumberland.
There is still a group of red squirrels here though it is in the front line with the attack of the greys.
I saw this character as I walked to the walled garden and surprised him at the base of a tree.
Instead of scurrying away he stood his ground for a moment and gave me the 'evil eye' before shooting up the tree.
I thought the strong background colour of orange and blue showed his fiesty nature." David Wardle
